I got a problem with my BMW E90 2007. The Driver side heating is working properly, the hot air comes through vents without issues. The problem is with the passenger side, the vents are open, but there is no hot air there. The air is neutral, maybe little cold. Nothing change even if I put max heating. The coolant level is fine.
Just seemed so obvious it was a thermostat. Bought a new thermostat for $115!! and was a PIA to change, followed the procedure for bleeding the air out. Got in the car yesterday morning and tryed to let it warm up, no heat, but temperature at normal or slightly above. Drove 2 miles, temp shoots up to red, pull over for a few minutes, sudden
that sounds like it might be failing a diagnostic test. probably have to get out a DVOM and check the resistance of the heater. e30: '87 325i: MAF+WAR chip, long tube STAHL headers, 5MT swap, 4.27 torsen. e60: '08 550i M-sport, 6MT, ARC, Active Steering, 19" wheel delete. That would cause the coolant to keep circulating through the entire system and not allow the engine/coolant to warm up. It Could be that your have air pockets in your coolant. Check the level cold and add/bleed as necessary to remove and air from the system. Could be a clogged heater core or even the heater control valve not working.
Hi all! I searched using "heat", "no heat", "heater" and "battery" to no avail. If there are threads on this, please tell me! My 2011 328xi (42k mi) is not blowing out heat. The front windshield defroster, heated seats and heated steering wheel works ok; not sure about the rear defroster.
Reasons: Low coolant levels in your BMW can be caused by a variety of reasons. One potential cause is a leak in the coolant system, which could be due to a damaged hose or radiator. Over time, these components can wear out and develop small holes, causing the coolant to slowly leak out.

When the car senses that the battery is weak or there is a low charge, it will disable convenience features, heated seats being one of them. Others are defrosters, comfort access range decreases or shuts off
I was driving a few days ago and all of a sudden my coolant light comes on in my 2006 330ci convertible (I have not done any work on the car recently). I assumed it was low on coolant (hence the coolant light coming on), but when I opened the cap, it didn't seem to be low. I topped it off just a little with BMW coolant and replaced the cap
Driver visibility is a critically important factor when driving in all conditions. A faulty heater control valve can cause issues with the water flow to the
Yes, thermostat is sticking, replace it. __________________. If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes.
